context:
Aura Rosenberg’s art is about themes of the body, sexuality, and gender. In the late 1980s, she crafted provocative sculptures, photographs, and paintings based on images culled from pornographic magazines. Rosenberg turned away from incorporating porn in her art in the mid-90s, when she became a mother, she returned to the source in the 2010s. The industry had drastically changed, and Rosenberg was challenged to her past approach to the subject with the new products of the 21st century. Rosenberg's interest in the corporeal is also evinced by her collection of body paintings, which she executes by covering herself in acrylic paint and then imprinting the canvas with her figure, an action that emphasizes the artist's literal presence in her work.
Rosenberg lives and works in New York and Berlin. Her work has been shown in venues including the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia.

analysis:
I have chosen Aura Rosenberg as my artist because I felt that I could develop her pictures. Also I like the way it's different and somethings I wouldn't do. Also it looks fun to do. I chose the picture above to analysis because it's unusual. This picture is a portrait. It's of a little girl who looks like a ghost. But she also looks cute. The focal point is the faces. The second focal is the dress as it stand out because of the colour. Aura Rosenberg's pictures gets me thinking about us teenagers and some of the confusing fazes we go through. also I like the way the picture looks scary. its also like a mystery of why she's looks pale, thin and has bruises on her body. This picture is asymmetrically balanced.
Feeling and mood:
This picture makes me feel lonely and scared. It also makes me feel like I died and i'm a ghost. The picture gives off may different moods for example, by looking at this image it makes me bored but kind of elegant. when looking at the face of the little girl it makes me feel like her life is plain. it also makes me like sorry for her because it looks like she has bruises on her body, so it looks like she is getting abused.
Composition:
The composition is asymmetrically balanced. I know this because what's on the right is not repeated on the left. As I said at the begining the focus point when I first look at the picture is the face because of the pen /make up on it, as its black and bold. The second focal point in the picture is the purple dress as its one of the bold colours. The dress in on a milky, pale body so it also stands out. The third focal point is the pale body because it have orange marks on her body which looks like bruises. The next focal point is the hair as its is messy. The final focal point is the background .
Colour and Mood:
The main colours/ the ones that sand out, are blue and purple. The colours gives me different mood. For example the dress makes me feel like I was born in the olden days so it gives me a lonely mood. Also the background is baby blue, which it is light and pale like the girls face and chest. The colours in the picture is light and not bold like most picture I would see.
Texture & Pattern
There isn't much of a pattern on the picture as it is quit raw and you can see the milky colour of the skin and the dampness of the pen/make up on the face. But as you can see there's not much pattern and texture on the image like the other artist that I have done, for example Hattie Stewart.
Light and tone:
The light is coming from directly in front as you can see the light is reflecting around the right eye. The tone is quit light with the background and the face and body as its pale.
what have I learnt:
*I have learnt that to get take a good picture you have to take your time and not rush things.
*When doing the style of your own artiest, you should have fun while doing it.
* To make a good piece, you should do something that stands out, usual and bright and draws people in.
*To try something new.
